Stewardship Drive
During February and March, St. Paul’s members are invited to participate in a Stewardship Drive being sponsored by the Stewardship Committee. The drive will consist of the following activities:
T-Shirts
For those members who want to show support for our congregation’s renewed commitment to stewardship as well as their own personal stewardship commitment, the Committee has designed a Stewardship T-Shirt. Orders for the shirts will be taken before and during the drive. Child and adult sizes will be available to order. The price for the shirts will be $15.00 ($16.00 for sizes XXL and larger). Because the shirts are designed to be a symbol of our commitment to stewardship, the shirts are being offered at or near cost. They are not intended as a fundraiser. Please see the Messenger insert and displays throughout the Church for more information regarding the shirt and its design.
February 13-17
Photographs for the Church Pictorial Directory will be taken. During the photo sessions, members of the Stewardship Committee will distribute a time and talent questionnaire to church members for purposes of determining the time and talents available to the church through its members. Time and talent worksheets are to be completed and returned at the time of the photo session or may be taken home and returned to Tricia West’s mailbox or the Church office. Please return the questionnaire by the end of the Stewardship Drive.
February 24-25
An “Introductory Stewardship Temple Talk” will be given at all services explaining the Stewardship Drive.
March 3-4
There will be a Temple Talk at all services in which a short stewardship movie will be played.
In addition, the Stewardship Committee will be introducing a new stewardship tool to the congregation: the “Estimate of Giving Card.” The Estimate of Giving Card is designed to give each of our members the opportunity to prayerfully consider the gifts God has provided and how each of us will respond to God’s gifts. Through the Estimate of Giving Card, each member will be asked to commit themselves to return to God a portion of the gifts God has given. The cards will be made available during this week’s services. The cards are to be completed and returned as a special offering during the March 17th or 18th church services. For anyone who cannot attend one of the March 17th or 18th services, a box for the cards will be placed directly in front of the Pulpit in the sanctuary. Please place your card in the box. Your card can also be returned to the Church office. Any card returned to the Office will be placed in box in the sanctuary.
March 10-11
A Stewardship Temple Talk by Roger Smith at all services. Estimate of Giving Cards will be distributed to anyone who did not receive one the previous week.
March 17-18
Estimate of Giving Card Offering. Members are to bring their Estimate of Giving Cards to church and return them as a special offering during the service. Pastor Tim will provide a special blessing during the offering to recognize the stewardship commitment of each member.
A Stewardship Luncheon will be held in Stock Hall following the 10:45 service. All are welcome to attend. There will be a recap of the stewardship drive and its accomplishments. The Stewardship Committee will also be distributing the stewardship T-shirt to anyone who placed an order.
Please feel free to present any questions you may have about the drive to a member of the Stewardship Committee: Tricia West (Chair), Don Tack, Steve Lindberg, John Brenner, Les Thumma, Miriam Kelly or Chad Enck.
