Are you looking for a fun, active and relevant church experience? Then become a SPY!St. Paul's Youth, or SPY as we call it, is our church youth group. While comprised of two sub-groups: M&M SPY (Mini & Middle 1st–5th Grade Group) and GODSPY (6th–12th Grade Youth Group) for age appropriateness, they share one common goal - to reach youth for Jesus! These groups meet on a regular basis to share fellowship through fun activities, meals, and Christian education, under the direction of our full-time Youth & Family Ministries Coordinator, Nick Fox. Nick joined the St. Paul's Family in 2001. He is a friendly, energetic and charismatic individual that has devoted his career to serving the Lord. Nick is a 1999 Graduate from Penn State University with a degree in Art Education, and in 2005, received his certification as a Youth & Family Ministries Specialist from Gettysburg Seminary. Interesting note - Nick shares this passion with other members of the Fox Family: His father, Rev. Harold Fox, is an ELCA Lutheran Pastor of 37 years, presently presiding at Trinity Lutheran in Steelton. His brother, Peter Fox, has been in Youth Ministry for over 15 years, and has been serving as the Youth Ministry Director for Trinity Lutheran, Camp Hill, since 1999. When asked “Why Youth Ministry?,” Nick describes that "Our youth face a lot of pressures today—questions from peers, families, school, sports, the media and popular culture. We believe that it is time to offer some Godly advice on all of these things. In our society many people fear and disrespect teens, and many youth receive only negative press. Our world needs to know that most youth can be positive role models. Through a relationship with Jesus Christ the Youth of our Congregation and community will make a difference in the world." Please refer to the following for more information detailing our Youth Group programs. All interested persons are encouraged to attend any of these events that fit their age groups! Feel free to contact Nick for further information. Email: nfox@pa.net Phone: (717) 243-2319 ext 24. |
